Titel: The Implementation Duality
Abstract: We identify and study a duality relationship between rent functions and nonlinear tariffs in a broad class of adverse-selection principal-agent problems. It is shown how this duality relationship can be used to generalize some well-known results for principal-agent models and two-sided matching problems with quasilinear utility functions to cases in which utility is not quasilinear.
