Professor Maik T. Schneider
Maik T. Schneider is Professor of Public Economics at the Department of Economics and director of the Graz Schumpeter Centre. He is member of the Senate of the University of Graz. He is also co-founder of the Committee for Political Economy of the German Economic Association (Verein für Socialpolitik).
His research is driven by the question of how we can preserve and share prosperity in a globalized world and how we can design political institutions that provide the highest prosperity for all. His research interests therefore lie at the intersection of economic growth and innovation, political economy, public finance and international economics.
