Resource and Energy Economics

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to understand central resource economic models and concepts and to apply them to resource and energy problem.

Detailed elaboration of resource economic concepts, in particular management of renewable and non-renewable resources (forest, fishery, fossil energy, renewables), definition and enforcement of property rights, price development (Hotelling Rule), market power, valuation of environmental goods (contingent valuation).
