Institutional Economics

Students are able to collect relevant material and literature for writing a paper (bachelor thesis), and to present this paper in a workshop environment. The topic of the paper is in a pre-selected area of currently discussed issues in the Economics of Institutions (including reforms of the institutions of social security or competition policy, or issues of multi-level governance emerging w.r.t. global issues such as climate policy). Moreover, they are able to make use of suitable methods of microeconomics and game theory for analyzing those problems within their papers.
